The Tree House Press Privacy Code applies to personal information about Tree
House Press employees, non-employees, and persons who interact with Tree
House Press.
The definition of employee includes past and present employees and
independent contractors.
The definition of non-employees includes readers, viewers, listeners,
subscribers, advertisers, internet users, job applicants, and contest
participants.
The Tree House Press Privacy Code applies to the collection, management, and
distribution of personal information including, but not limited to, written,
electronic, and oral forms. Tree House Press shall reserve the right to
amend and change the Tree House Press Privacy Code as deemed necessary by
Tree House Press.
The Tree House Press Privacy Code is subject to applicable laws,
regulations, and any invoked court orders.
Tree House Press does not sell, trade or divulge personal information to any
third party unless ordered to divulge such information by a legal or
regulatory body with legal jurisdiction in Canada or the United States of
America.
The Tree House Press Privacy Code does not impose any limits on the
disclosure or collection on the following information:
- publicly available information
- business contact information
- information collected through literary,
journalistic, or artistic sources or activities
- aggregate, non-specific information such as web
site hits, web site visitor demographics, and general customer
demographics
- The purposes for collecting personal information
include:
- to provide service and maintain commercial
relations with individuals
- to market, develop, and enhance products and
services
- to manage business operations
- to meet legal and/or regulatory requirements
- to determine credit eligibility
Tree House Press will obtain consent from a person
before or while collecting personal information. Tree House Press will use
reasonable efforts to describe to a person how their personal information
will be used by Tree House Press.
Consent can be express or implied. At any time a person may withdraw their
consent except where legal and/or regulatory requirements supersede the Tree
House Press Privacy Policy. Tree House Press may collect or use personal
information without a person's knowledge where permitted or required by law.
At any time if you have concerns or questions about the Tree House Press
Privacy Policy or you wish to withdraw your consent, please send your

Notwithstanding any contractual or legal requirements, a person can refuse
or withdraw consent by giving Tree House Press reasonable notice.

technical, traffic flow, and/or demographic purposes.
Tree House Press may provide user specific services to a person through the
use of cookies. Cookies do not contain viruses nor can they run programs on
your computer.
Links from the Tree House Press web sites may connect a person to another
web site. Tree House Press is not responsible for any content found on the
linked site. Furthermore, Tree House Press shall not be held responsible
for any information collected while a person is visiting a linked web site.
Other information that may be collected while a person visits the Tree House

the operating system used, and the time and length of access.
